Review: Pop group Before You Exit dazzles on new single ‘Model’ (Includes first-hand account)

They are based in Orlando, Florida, and the trio of brothers is made up of Connor McDonough, age 21, as well as Riley, 19, and Toby, 17. Before You Exit will be touring with The Vamps on July 21 and their first show will be in their very own hometown, Orlando; moreover, on July 30, they will be performing at New York City’s Best Buy Theater.

Throughout their musical journey, they have shared the stage with such artists as Cody Simpson and all-girl group Fifth Harmony. They were the winners of the third annual Macy’s “iHeartRadio Rising Star” competition, which earned them a spot at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. They played at last year’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and they secured three singles on the Radio Disney charts.

Before You Exit’s “Model” has all the ingredients to be a smash single. It has a catchy melody to it, as well as elements of pop and dance in there. It was co-penned by the band members, and songwriter Ryan Daly.

“All I know is baby even when you wake up, Laying with no make-up, You’re beautiful, beautiful, I know you think I’m crazy, For loving all your features, Even in your T-shirt, You look like a model,” they sing.

The Verdict

Overall, Before You Exit’s “Model” single is flirty, uplifting and a great deal of fun. Their harmonies are soaring and strong. It is a song that any female teenager would love to have sung to her. Watch out One Direction. These boys deserve to become the next big thing in pop music. “Model” garners an A rating.
