Review: Phillip Phillips terrific on new album ‘Collateral’ (Includes first-hand account)

It opens with the bluesy “Magnetic” and it immediately breaks into the breathy, acoustic ballad “Part of My Plan,” which displays his rumbling voice, and he picks up the pace with the up-tempo “My Name.”

“I Dare You” is more sultry and jazzy, while “Sand Castles” is crisp and haunting. “Don’t Tell Me” is nonchalant and sassy, while “Miles” is extremely-friendly. “Dance With Me” is a gorgeous love ballad on the album, which many fans and listeners will want as their wedding song.
