Review: Pentatonix amazing on deluxe version of eponymous studio album (Includes first-hand account)

Their album opens with the sassy “Na Na Na” and it is followed by the smooth and funky “Can’t Sleep Love” and the upbeat “Sing,” which will make their fans and listeners clap along with them.

“Misbehavin'” is yet another soulful track, while “Ref” features neat beat-boxing. “First Things First” showcases their wide range as recording artists, while “Rose Gold” is infectious and mellifluous. “If I Ever Fall In Love” is a charming collaboration with pop mega-star Jason Derulo, and “Cracked” is a master-class on harmonies.

“Water” is lyrically and vocally powerful, while “Take Me Home” is soothing, like the perfect lullaby. “New Year’s Day” is one of the album’s greatest cuts, while “Light In The Hallway” is rich and deep. They are able to do Skrillex, Diplo and Justin Bieber’s “Where Are Ü Now” justice thanks to their stellar rendition. OMI would also smile for their heart-warming version of “Cheerleader.”

The Verdict

Overall, Pentatonix are amazing on their deluxe new album. Their talent is tremendous, and they get better with each and every release. It garners an A+ rating.
