One Direction went on to film their artistic music video at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. It was filmed around the NASA T-38 aircraft jets, which astronauts use to train for spaceflight, as well as the NASA WB-57 High Altitude Research Aircraft, which is a unique aircraft that is used for high atmosphere research work.
Their “Drag Me Down” music video is compelling and it showcases each of the One Direction band members training to go up into space in different parts of the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility, where real-life astronauts train.
They had surprised their fans with the release of this single on July 31, and ever since, it became the group’s most successful single launch to date, since it sold in excess of half a million copies in its first week, thus becoming their fastest-selling single in America.
From a commercial standpoint, it was a major success, especially since it reached No. 1 on iTunes in 90 countries. It has also been streamed over 40 million times on Spotify.

The Verdict
Overall, One Direction delivers on their creative music video for “Drag Me Down.” Its concept, which has a NASA theme, is superb and it works in their favor, thus giving it a futuristic vibe. Their video garners an A rating.
