Review: October Rose knows how to light a ‘Bonfire’ with new music video (Includes first-hand account)

The musical duo is comprised of Leanne Weiss and Derek Allan. “Bonfire” is fun, mid-tempo and extremely radio-friendly. It is the second track featured on their All In EP, which they released independently in May of 2018.

On Tuesday, August 21, country duo October Rose will be competing at the 2018 NASH Next competition, which will be held at Opry City Stage in Times Square in New York City. They are one of the 10 local finalists in the New York area.

“Bonfire” is available on iTunes and on Spotify.

The Verdict

Overall, October Rose deliver on their brand new music video for their song “Bonfire.” Weiss and Allan’s vocals are rich, controlled and soothing, and their harmonies are top-notch; moreover, they deserve to become the next Thompson Square in the country genre. “Bonfire” garners an A rating.
