Review: Nick Tangorra Band superb on ‘Drag Me Down’ One Direction cover (Includes first-hand account)

Their version is fairly different than the One Direction original recording. Nick Tangorra Band is able to keep it fresh, with a more haunting and crisp feel to it, that will make the listener want to clap along with them. The music video that they filmed for the song is extremely well-crafted.

His musical director, Rafe Tangorra, rocks the drums, and guitarist Will Ahrens is equally impressive on electric guitar; moreover, Nick Tangorra’s charismatic vocals elevate it to a higher level. Nick is able to maintain a solid control over his voice, while showcasing his versatility.

The Verdict

Just when one thought that Nick Tangorra Band could not get any better after their cover of Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do,” they prove their listeners and music critics wrong again, with “Drag Me Down.” They are able to stay true to themselves as musicians and as a band. It garners an A rating.
