Review: Nick Tangorra Band nails new Taylor Swift ‘Blank Space’ cover (Includes first-hand account)

Particularly impressive about this cover video was that it was recorded in one live take using a multi-camera set-up, as well as raw audio recorded using a rode video microphone. It was filmed at the D’Angelico Showroom in New York City.

Lead singer Nick Tangorra’s vocals on Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” are rich, laid-back and mellow. Their rendition has elements of acoustic pop, adult contemporary and reggae flairs. Will Ahrens accompanies him on acoustic guitar and Rafe Tangorra delivers on drums.

The Verdict

Nick Tangorra Band never disappoints with their cover songs. They make every song their own, with their unique twist. All band members excel on this tune. This is a version that Taylor Swift herself would be proud. It garners 4 out of 5 stars.
