Review: Nick Tangorra Band charms on ‘One Step Closer’ EP (Includes first-hand account)

They released this EP independently on June 9, and it reached No. 19 on the iTunes Pop Charts. It begins with their latest radio single, the uplifting and fun “I Want You.” It is followed by the infectious “Walking on the Ceiling,” where lead singer Nick Tangorra’s vocals are crisp and refreshing.

“Save Your Love From Me” has a retro, disco vibe to it. The power-ballad “Damage Done” is a dynamic vocal performance by the band. “Maryanne” is up-tempo, with a catchy melody to it, and it closes with an extended version of “Save Your Love From Me.”

The Verdict

Nick Tangorra Band’s latest One Step Closer project is a real gem. They are such underrated musicians and they deserve to make it big in the music industry. Their newest EP is solid and they put on an entertaining live concert. This EP garners two thumps up. Well done guys.
