Review: Nick Fradiani charms on Billy Joel’s ‘The Downeaster Alexa’ (Includes first-hand account)

He is able to dust off the original Billy Joel recording, and make it his own, thanks to his acoustic instrumentation. Fradiani hinted via a Facebook post that he will be performing this Billy Joel song at his concert at Gramercy Theatre on Saturday, March 25. His American Idol coronation song was “Beautiful Life.”

Singer-songwriter Todd Carey (“Nintendo”) will serve as his opening act, along with Oak & Ash.
