DJ Johnathan Move and DJ Mike Savage provided the musical entertainment of the night, in an eclectic set that features a wide range of songs, including the infectious “Roses” by The Chainsmokers and Rozes. The energy in the venue was palpable.
It was followed by a special performance from The 2000’s Band, which featured front-man Phil Smith on lead vocals, front-woman Bianca on lead vocals, Dan DelVecchio on guitar, and other talented musicians.
They opened their set with Weeze’s “Hash Pipe,” and they immediately broke into Katy Perry’s flirty hit single “I Kissed a Girl” with Bianca singing lead. Other fun songs included Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me” and Good Charlotte’s “Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous.” The 2000’s Band paid a moving tribute to Linkin Park and the late Chester Bennington with the haunting “In The End.”
Bianca showed Long Island her inner Lady Gaga with “Poker Face” and “Bad Romance.” Equally fun was Phil tacking Fall Out Boy’s “Sugar, We’re Goin Down,” while Bianca continued with some throwback Ashley Simpson with “Pieces of Me” and Pink’s “Raise Your Glass.”
For their encore, The 2000’s Band performed the highlight song of the night “Stacy’s Mom” by Fountains of Wayne, as well as the up-tempo “Mr. Brightside,” and Miley Cyrus’ sassy party anthem “Party In The U.S.A,” which was the theme of Thanksgiving Eve at Mulcahy’s.
