It was definitely one of the biggest parties on Long Island this weekend, as the line to get in was two blocks long. DJ Mike Savage and DJ Move tore the dance-floor with their catchy and infectious tunes.
The night was comprised of a “Ghost and Goblin Buffett,” which featured such food as chicken parmesan, baked ziti and chicken wings, coupled by an open bar from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., with beer and house drinks; moreover, $2,000 in prizes was awarded for the infamous costume contest, where this year’s Long Islanders came up with some creative costume ideas (such as a group of penguins, Scooby Doo and company, minions, Jokers, Riddler, Batman, Superman, prison inmates, sailors, nurses, an elderly couple, an astronaut, among countless others). On the dance-floor, the crowd was jumping and dancing throughout the night.
Mulcahy’s is nominated for three “Best of Long Island” awards for the 2018 competition, as Digital Journal reported, and rightfully so. They are up for “Best Concert Venue” in the Arts and Entertainment category, as well as “Best Singles Spot” and “Best Nightclub” in the “Nightlife and Spirits” category.
The Verdict
Overall, the Mulcahy’s “Halloween Party” is an event that all Long Islanders, over the age of 21, need to experience each year. It is a great deal of fun, and a night of dressing up, letting loose, drinking, networking, and high-quality entertainment. This year’s “Halloween Party” earned two giant thumbs up.
