Review: Mitch Goudy delights on ‘My Girl’s Hand’ song and lyric video (Includes first-hand account)

Goudy’s baritone vocals are rich and subtle on this tender tune about a failing romance. He tackles the subject matter with much delicacy and sentimentalism. Goudy wrote the song solely by himself and it displays his wide range as a contemporary country recording artist.

“But you seem so happy, And after all that was my desire, I just thought I’d get to hold you, To think I do that now I’d be a liar,” Goudy sings.

The Verdict

Overall, Mitch Goudy has matured substantially as a singer and songwriter on “My Girl’s Hand.” It has a neat message to it that many listeners can relate to. It is no wonder that he made Digital Journal’s list of “Top 10 Male Country Singers to Watch in 2014.” His new song garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
