Review: Meghan Trainor rocks Ultimate Tailgate Party at Best Buy Theater (Includes first-hand account)

This concert was presented by such New York radio stations as 95.5 WPLJ, Nash FM 94.7, 77 WABC, as well as Radio 103.9. She shared the stage with fellow pop star Nick Jonas.

Trainor began her show with “Dear Future Husband,” a track off her newest studio album, and she continued with the laid-back and mellow reggae-flavored tune “Title.”

It was followed by her latest radio single “Lips Are Movin,” which is making its way up the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and rightfully so.

Her ballad, “Close Your Eyes,” was rich and sultry. Trainor closed her five-song set with her multi-week No. 1 single “All About That Bass,” which was a fan-favorite and the entire venue was singing along.

The Verdict

Overall, Meghan Trainor was incredible at the Best Buy Theater in New York City. Her vocals were impressive, refreshing and distinct: there is nobody else that sounds like her on the radio airwaves. She started the new year on a great note. Her live shows are highly recommended. She garnered an A rating.
