Review: Max Frost back with visually striking video for ‘Withdrawal’ (Includes first-hand account)

“Withdrawal” reached No. 1 on Hype Machine upon its release, and Frost has been hailed by National Public Radio (NPR) and Rolling Stone Magazine as one of their “10 Artists You Need To Know,” and rightfully so. “Withdrawal” is refreshing and distinct, and it sounds like nothing that is out on the radio airwaves at the moment, so that gives Frost an advantage to stand out.

Throughout his career, Frost has toured with such musical acts as Gary Clark Jr., Fitz & The Tantrums, as well as Wild Child.

The Verdict

Overall, Max Frost’s music video for “Withdrawal” is clever from a creative and artistic standpoint. It captures the mood of his song quite well. It has infectious melodies and beats, coupled with his velvet voice. It is a substantial indication that Atlantic Records knows real talent. “Withdrawal” garners an A rating.
