Emmy award-winning actor Maurice Benard (“General Hospital”) was able to spotlight fellow actors Kin Shriner and Jacklyn Zeman on his mental health podcast, MB “State of Mind.”

Benard, who plays patriarch Sonny Corinthos, was able to tip his hat to two actors that paved the way on “General Hospital,” and they are both still on the hit ABC daytime drama: Kin Shriner and Jacklyn Zeman.

Shriner plays lawyer Scott Baldwin while Zeman portrays Nurse Bobbie Spencer. They have both been on the ABC soap opera “General Hospital” for well over 44 years.

Zeman shared that she was born in Englewood, New Jersey. “I had a wonderful upbringing,” she admitted. “I grew up watching soaps, and those days, they were 15 to 30 minutes long,” she said.

They acknowledged that taping the show is way different than it is now because back then, it was done in a live fashion. “Live, to me, is fascinating, especially as an actor who is scared like crazy of live,” Benard said.

Shriner and Zeman both recalled working with the legendary executive producer Gloria Monty.

It was nice to hear Shriner and Zeman give a history lesson on the show, as they recall the “good ole days.”

The entire episode, featuring Kin Shriner and Jacklyn Zeman, may be seen below.
