Review: Markus Schulz delivers on new studio album ‘Watch The World’ (Includes first-hand account)

Schulz’ album opens on an ambient note with “Code 10-66,” and it followed by “In the Night,” which features the crisp vocals of songstress Brooke Tomlinson. “Love Me Like You Never Did” has catchy acoustic guitar instrumentation, and Ethan Thompson’s vocals are pure and haunting. “Destiny” is upbeat and fun, while “A Better You” is another spitfire track.

“I Hear You Calling” is a catchy tune with Cayo. Nikki Flores lends her breathy yet dynamic vocals on “Leaving LA,” and an equally atmospheric vocal is “Let It Rain,” featuring Helen. “Facedown” is a calming song, and “Waiting” is just as impressive.

The highlight track on the album is “You and I,” where he collaborates with gifted songstress Adina Butar. Its acoustic version, which is also included that on in this project, is also sheer musical perfection.

The Verdict

Overall, Markus Schulz excels on his latest studio effort Watch the World. It is an eclectic project that is recommended for die-hard fans of electronic music. It garners an A rating.
