Review: Mario Frangoulis exceptional on ‘Ave Maria’ from new holiday CD (Includes first-hand account)

His rendition of the classic “Ave Maria” is quite stellar, and it showcases his rich, tenor voice, as he sings the tune in Spanish, and it features a neat orchestral arrangement to it that is worthy of the repeat button on one’s iPod or CD player. He truly possesses a golden voice that is reminiscent of Josh Groban meets Luciano Pavarotti. Frangoulis sings with a great deal of emotion, and he is able to form a strong connection with his listening audience.

The Verdict

Mario Frangoulis soars on “Ave Maria” and proves that his entire Tales of Christmas album is worth checking out. It is evident that Mario only gets better with age, and he is able to put his fans in the holiday spirit with his warm and heartfelt vocals. “Ave Maria” garners an A rating.
