Osmond’s album opens with the refreshing and upbeat title track tune, “Music Is Medicine,” where her vocals are reminiscent of such country songstresses as Jo Dee Messina meets Reba McEntire. It is followed by the gorgeous ballad “Unbreak This Break Up,” which features neat harmony vocals.
“Give Me a Good Song” is a cool collaboration with Sisqo, while “Getting Better All the Time,” where she sings with Olivia Newton-John is the highlight duet on the album. Osmond shows her sassy side on “Baby You’re Crazy,” where the listener can recall Jennifer Nettles from the country duo Sugarland.
“I’d Love to Be Your Last” is a strong piano-driven ballad, while “Love This Tough” is a soaring collaboration with John Rich from the country duo Big & Rich. Alex Boye is a gem on “Then There’s You.”
The CD closes with the mid-tempo yet bittersweet “Wild & Sweet,” and the optimistic ballad “I’ll Find You.”
