Pop superstar Madonna recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of her hit single “Dress You Up” with a three-track digital release, which came out on August 1st.
With the tragic news of the passing of the Barbie doll designers and Madonna superfans Mario Paglino and Gianni Grossi, the “Queen of Pop” dedicated this release to them.
“Thank you for dressing up so many of your creations in Madonna iconic looks over the years,” she expressed in a press statement.
This seminal song was the last single from her diamond-certified album “Like a Virgin” on July 31, 1985, and to this day, it continues to endure cross-generational appreciation for this standard dance classic.
Madonna shines in the “Remix/Edit” version of “Dress You Up,” and the 12″ Formal Mix of the tune is over six minutes in duration, and it has a retro ’80s vibe to it.
As the title suggests, “The Casual Instrumental Mix” of “Dress You Up” is fully instrumental yet upbeat and memorable.
Each of these three mixes have their own distinct identity to them; moreover, this is one of those pop-dance songs that will stand the test of time (sung by the bestselling female artist of our time).
This was a fitting homage to the two Barbie designers who died in a car accident in northern Italy.

In other news, a few weeks ago, Madonna released her musical effort “Veronica Electronica,” which features new edits, rare remixes, and a previously unreleased song “Gone Gone Gone” from her album “Ray of Light.”
