Review: Madonna and Taylor Swift take over iHeartRadio Music awards

The award ceremony took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. They were televised on NBC and hosted by Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx.

Madonna performed her brand new single, “Ghosttown,” where she was backed by global music superstar Taylor Swift on guitar. The “Material Girl’s” new single is a track from her latest studio album, Rebel Heart, which garnered a glowing review from Digital Journal.

When the “Queen on Pop” presented Swift with the award for “Song of the Year” for “Shake It Off,” Madonna dubbed her as her “favorite guitar player.” Swift won a total of three awards, including the prestigious “Artist of the Year,” where she bested such artists as Luke Bryan, Ariana Grande, Sam Smith and Iggy Azalea. Swift’s chart-topping single “Begin Again” swept the “Best Lyrics” category.

It is safe to say that the second annual iHeartRadio Music awards belonged to Taylor Swift. For more information on Taylor Swift, visit her official website.
