Review: Logan Henderson gets the party started at Gramercy Theatre in NY (Includes first-hand account)

His set included songs from his latest studio album as the haunting “Speak of the Devil,” the up-tempo and crisp tune “Bite My Tongue,” and an expressive version of “Sleepwalker,” which was an added bonus. Equally fun was “Take It Out On Me,” which is featured on the new album, Echoes of Departure and the Endless Street of Dreams, Pt. 1, which came out in the middle of May. The control that Henderson maintained over his voice the entire show was quite exceptional.

“Change the Weather” had infectious hooks, and the fans were waving their hands up in the air, and “End of the World” was sultry and soothing at the same time.

“All right, Gramercy Theatre. Let me hear you repeat after me: ‘oh yeah’,” he said, and invited the fans to sing along with him; moreover, Henderson incorporated a cover of “Heartless” by Kanye West, which was well-received by all.

“Logan Henderson was great,” said fan and attendee Jackie Wright. “He brought the energy to the stage and sounded amazing, and he was a total sweetheart.”

The Verdict
