They opened their show with “C-O-U-N-T-R-Y,” which resonated well with the New York audience. It was followed by a noteworthy cover of Keith Urban’s song “You Gonna Fly,” which they wrote.
“Shipwrecked” was a piano-driven ballad with a poignant message to it. Chris Lucas from LoCash noted that if he were stranded on a desert island, and had two people to share that experience with, those would include his wife and son.
Equally noteworthy was their cover of Tim McGraw’s “Truck Yeah,” which they also wrote. They were able to get the Westbury country fans out of their seats and have a fun time during this upbeat tune.
LoCash revealed that they inked a new record deal with Reviver Records.
They closed with their new single, their optimistic anthem “I Love This Life,” which is being played on country radio stations, including New York’s Nash FM 94.7. They noted that the song was inspired by the negative news that are out there in the world, and they wanted to put sing about country things that guys love, so that for three minutes and 10 seconds their minds would be stress-free. They were able to get the crowd to put their hands up in the air throughout this performance. “Get your hand up high,” they said.
The Verdict
Overall, LoCash was able to warm up the stage for country singer Lee Brice at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury, and they proved that they deserve to be headlining acts of their own shows in the near future. Their show garnered 4 out of 5 stars.
