Leah Turner and Jerrod Niemann released their new country duet single “South of The Border.”

The song is midtempo, catchy, and a great deal of fun; moreover, the horns help elevate it to a higher level. It has the atmospherics of Carlos Santana and Rob Thomas’ “Smooth” single.

Turner allows her crisp and crystalline voice to shine coupled by Niemann’s rich, rumbling vocals and his guitar playing. It is extremely radio-friendly and it deserves more than just a passing glance.

Leah Turner and Jerrod Niemann prove that they are two of the most underrated artists in the contemporary country music scene. It is neat to hear Turner going back to her Mexican roots for this nonchalant and carefree tune.

“South of the Border” is available on digital service providers by clicking here. It garners two thumbs up.
