Grammy award-winning Christian music artist Lauren Daigle released her new single “Let It Be a Hallelujah” on August 1st.

She co-wrote the song nearly eight years ago with the late songwriter Busbee and Grammy winner Jonas Myrin who just released his own single “Hope is on the Way.”

Her new single “Let It Be a Hallelujah” is sonically and lyrically moving coupled with an empowering message. Daigle proves that she only gets better with age and experience. This is a song that all of humanity needs to hear, especially in this day and age. It is filled with positivity and inspiration.

In a post on social media, Daigle revealed that this is a song from the vault. “Years ago, in the writing cycle between ‘How Can It Be’ and ‘Look Up Child’, I remember
this gem ‘Let It Be a Hallelujah’ landing in the land of Dropbox and never making its way to my record,” Daigle said.

Daigle continued, “Fast forward years and years later, I truly believe that God had an incredible design filled with intention behind why this song wasn’t brought forth into the world in the season in which we wrote it.”

“This song was savored and salvaged for a time when my life needed to intersect with it, “Daigle said. “It compells me to believe that from any place high or low, triumphant or troublesome, praise can live on our lips and in our spirit.”

“I think Paul taught us the extravagant resilience of being content in all things. This song is the reminder of this truth,” she added.

The Verdict

Overall, “Let It Be a Hallelujah” is a captivating new single by Lauren Daigle. It is one of her best songs of faith to date since “You Say.”

Kudos to Jonas Myrin and to the late Busbee for writing such a bold and powerful single with Lauren Daigle, which will certainly move her listening audience on an emotional and spiritual level.
