Review: Laura Michelle charms on whimsical ‘Chuck Norris’ music video (Includes first-hand account)

The song is a pop anthem about unleashing the inner martial artist that lies within us. Melodically, it has a retro vibe that is reminiscent of a classic Blink-182 tune (“What’s My Age Again”) meets Pat Benatar’s “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” and that should be taken as a compliment.

Her music video was directed by Kurt J. Zendzian, as well as co-produced by Zendzian and Michelle, and edited by Sean Horvath. Most impressive is the fact that Chuck Norris himself makes a cameo towards the end, which is an added treat.

Michelle’s vocals are sassy, upbeat and refreshing. This video is about female empowerment, and one being comfortable in their own skin, and thus embracing who they are. In this video, her blonde nemesis steals her song, name, as well as her boyfriend.

The songstress tries to get through security to where her nemesis is performing her song “Chuck Norris,” but she is unable to do so. At that moment, Chuck Norris makes his cameo, where he sees her and gives her CForce water, which gives her special powers, as it enhances her strength. She is then able to go through security and defeat her nemesis, as well as get over her past.

The Verdict
