He proves to his fans and listeners that he is a cello virtuoso. It opens with the refreshing “Julie-O,” which was a major hit when he performed it live at The Theater Madison Square Garden with Pentatonix during his solo set.
The title track “Renegade” is crisp and haunting, and the beat-boxing adds to its appeal. It is followed by three outstanding cover songs such as John Legend’s “All of Me,” as well as his classical interpretation of Demi Lovato’s “Heart Attack.” He saves the best track for last, where he dusts off British singer Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” and gives it a compelling and heartfelt rendition. Sam Smith would be smiling upon Olusola’s brave cover.

The Verdict
K.O. proves that he is amazing on his new Renegade EP. All five tracks are stellar, and it displays K.O.’s wide range as an artist. It deserves to be nominated for a Grammy award at next year’s ceremony, to the very least. This EP garners an A+ rating, and hopefully, there will be more where that came from. Congratulations K.O.
