Review: Kelsea Ballerini uplifting on new country single ‘Yeah Boy’ (Includes first-hand account)

“Captured my attention, make my heart stop and listen, when you look my way, blue jeans and a ball cap, thinking that you’re all that and I’m thinking the same,” Ballerini sings in the opening verse.

It is the follow-up to her previous No. 1 single “Peter Pan.” The song “Yeah Boy” is extremely radio-friendly, and it showcases her bubbly personality; moreover, it is destined to become her fourth consecutive chart-topping single on country radio. Ballerini has been on fire lately, and rightfully so.

The Verdict

With her new single, Kelsea Ballerini shows no signs of slowing down. “Yeah Boy” is one of those songs that instantly puts a smile on one’s face upon hearing it. The song is refreshing and a great deal of fun. It garners an A rating.
