Actors Kelli Berglund and Amadeus Serafini star in the new rom-com “Wallbanger,” which was directed by Tosca Musk.
Mary Pocrnic wrote the screenplay, and it is based on the bestselling book of the same name by Alice Clayton. It is available on the streaming service Passionflix.
The synopsis is: Caroline (played by Kelli Berglund) is a single interior designer, moves into what seems like the perfect apartment only to be awakened nightly by her neighbor, Simon (Amadeus Serafini), who is known as “the wallbanger,” thus sparking an unexpected, tension-filled connection.
Kelli Berglund and Amadeus Serafini have great on-screen chemistry together, and their rapport allows for more resonance. Some of their scenes together are downright hilarious.
Thus far, this is one of the most noteworthy romantic comedies of the Passionflix network in recent years along with “Wait with Me” (starring Andrew Biernat and Madison Lawlor), and “Dirty Sexy Saint” (starring David A. Gregory and Jordan Lane Price).
Ryan McPartlin, Roselyn Sanchez, and Colin Ford also star in the film as Benjamin, Jillian, and Ryan respectively.
The Verdict
Overall, “Wallbanger” is witty, uplifting, quirky, and entertaining. Kelli Berglund is bubbly as the female lead while Serafini is the voice of reason as Simon. This movie is feel-good escapism, and it garners four out of five stars. Grab some popcorn and/or wine, and allow them to lure you in.
