Veteran actress Kathleen Gati melts hearts in the hit ABC daytime drama “General Hospital.”

Gati delivered a gut-wrenching performance as Dr. Liesl Obrecht as the mother mourning her on-screen daughter, Dr. Britt Westbourne (played by Emmy winner Kelly Thiebaud), who was the latest victim of the show’s Hook killer.

The audience will be moved by Obrecht’s character’s heartbreak to the point that they will forget that they are watching a show, and they will feel as if they are experiencing real life since grief and pain is universal.

Gati’s acting work was exceptional in this dark and heavy storyline and she deserves to be nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award at the upcoming ceremony.

This marks the second child that Obrecht loses on the ABC soap opera. She previously lost her son, detective Nathan West (played by Ryan Paevey) a few years back.

Once again, Kathleen Gati deserves to be commended for a job well done, this time for tugging at our heartstrings. Over the years, she has proven to be one of the genre’s most consistently underrated actresses.
