Actors Juan Pablo Di Pace and Laura Osnes charm in the new original romantic TV movie “Raise a Glass to Love,” which premieres on Saturday, September 18 on the Hallmark Channel. Digital Journal has the scoop.
Particularly impressive about this film is that it features a cameo from Jennifer Huether, acclaimed Master Sommelier, who also served as a consultant on this film project.
Laura Osnes stars as Jenna Savern, who grew up on her late grandma’s vineyard and her goal was to someday become a Master Sommelier (wine steward).
Her goal in life is to become the next Jennifer Huether, who was one of the few women to pass the extremely challenging exam. Jenna had failed it twice in the past, and she is focused on studying it and passing it this time around.
Veteran actor Eric Keenleyside plays her father Mike Savern, and he calls her back to the family vineyard to throw a surprise anniversary party, and she takes full advantage of this opportunity to focus on studying.
This was a pivotal moment for Jenna, since while she is home, she meets the handsome new head winemaker Marcelo (played eloquently by Juan Pablo Di Pace), who has been successful in turning around small vineyards all over the globe using the natural methods that he learned when he grew up in Argentina.
Marcelo helps change Jenna’s life for the better. He has Jenna looking at wine, and her long-term dreams, in a new and vibrant way.
As her exam day approaches and Marcelo is offered a job that would take him halfway around the world, she learns that sometimes the best pairing is the one you least expect. What will happen to Jenna and Marcelo? Tune in to watch “Raise a Glass to Love” on the Hallmark Channel to find out.
