The Verdict
Overall, “Off the Grid” is a compelling thriller that is packed with action, mystery, suspense and thrills. Strong performances led by Josh Duhamel, Greg Kinnear, and Maria Elisa Camargo give this movie its beating heart. David Lipper (“Full House”) is also impressive as Eddie.

Johnny Martin should be commended for bringing this riveting and unflinching story to life, which can be relatable, especially in this digital age that we are living in today.
The costume design by Lenka Padysakova was quite noteworthy and authentic. The screenplay on the other hand was mediocre at best…
Writing-wise, several characters (such as the mercenaries and the ever-talented Talia Asseraf who was underused) in the story could have been developed more and some scenes were thin and meek. It had so much potential to be an even greater film.
Regardless, the cast did great with the material that they had, and it is recommended that viewers give “Off the Grid” more than a passing glance. This film garners four out of five stars.
