Milner is able to dust off the Patsy Cline original recording, and give it a country-rock feel, with a modern twist to it, thus introducing the tune to a brand new generation of fans.
Throughout her career as an independent country artist, Milner has secured a Top 75 Music Row single with “Cowgirls” and it peaked at No. 1 on the New Music Weekly charts. She is a spokesperson for the Angels and Doves anti-bullying campaign, as well as the Piasecki M.D. skincare line, which is run by Dr. Justin Piasecki.
Last year, Milner was a nominee for the 2014 Midwest Music Awards.
The Verdict
It is evident that Milner is a fan of traditional country and she is able to pay her respects to Cline, who is considered historically the greatest female country artist of all-time. Several years back, the late songstress topped Country Music Television’s (CMT) list of “40 Greatest Women of Country.” Milner proves that she has an old soul. Milner’s version of “Walkin’ After Midnight” garners 4 out of 5 stars.
