Teen singers Jolie Rose Wasserman and Robert Levey II performed at Joanne Trattoria in the Upper West Side of New York City on Thursday, February 6th.

The restaurant and entertainment hub is owned by Joe Germanotta, entrepreneur, philanthropist, businessman and Lady Gaga’s father.

Robert Levey’s set and interview

His set included Seth MacFarlane’s “No Moon at All,” as well as the Nat King Cole classic “Orange Colored Sky,” prior to tipping his hat to Engelbert Humperdinck with the mid-tempo and fun “Quando Quando Quando.” Equally noteworthy was his distinct version of Bobby Darin’s “Beyond the Sea.”

Levey stole the show with his soothing cover of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” and closed with Dean Martin’s “Volare,” where he left the listening audience wanting to hear more.

He allowed his rich, rumbling voice to shine, which was smooth as silk, and most importantly, Levey displayed that he has an “old soul.” He was able to dust off these timeless hits and give them his own mellow twist, which was neat and refreshing.

Following his set, he took some time to answer a few interview questions.

On performing at Joanne Trattoria, Levey said, “It felt great. It was fun to meet everybody, and it was a great experience. Overall, I wouldn’t change anything. It was awesome.”

Regarding his music “Mostly, my love for the storytelling. I only do songs where I can feel and express my emotions, and it’s usually the older songs that do that for me the most.”

For young and emerging artists, Levey said, “My advice is to follow your dreams because you never know what can happen.”

Jolie Rose Wasserman

Jolie Rose Wasserman serenaded us to Billy Joel’s “New York State of Mind,” which was quite fitting. She segued into an expressive rendition of Adele’s “Someone Like You,” as well as a harking cover of Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black.”

She maintained solid control over her voice throughout her performance, and closed with Rihanna’s stunning piano-laden ballad “Stay.”

After her set, Wasserman answered a few interview questions.

On singing at Joanne Trattoria, she remarked, “It felt amazing! I am very happy and lucky that I got this opportunity.”

“Through my music, I like to inspire other people and share messages with the world,” Wasserman acknowledged.

For young and aspiring performers, she said, “Don’t give up, work very hard, and practice every day; this way, things will come to you.”

Conclusion

It is evident that both Jolie Rose Wasserman and Robert Levey II are poised for stardom; hopefully, their futures in the music and entertainment industry will be bright and promising.
