Review: John King superb on new country single ‘On Your Lips’ (Includes first-hand account)

“On Your Lips” will officially be released to the radio airwaves on March 3, via his record label, Black River Entertainment. It has a southern rock edge to it, with infectious electric guitars, and it is certain to please his female listeners. It displays his wide range as a country singer-songwriter.

“If I could be anything, I’d wanna be the drink in your hand when you take a sip,” King sings.

This is the follow-up to King’s stellar breakthrough single “Tonight Tonight,” which garnered an A rating from Digital Journal.

The Verdict

John King’s “On Your Lips” garners 4.5 out of 5 stars. Country radio needs more of King and his music. It is no wonder that King made Digital Journal’s “Top 5 Country Acts to Watch” list in 2015. Judging from his new single, his year is off to a great start.
