Review: Joey Suarez glorious on new electronic single ‘Love Me Back’ (Includes first-hand account)

“Love Me Back is the follow-up to his debut single “High in the Sky.” Suarez is instantly able to lure the listener in, thanks to the song’s catchy beats and heart-warming lyrics; moreover, the neat reverb helps elevate it to a higher level. His vocals are pure like the driven snow, and he sings “Love Me Back” like a soothing EDM lullaby, which ought to be taken as a compliment.

The track, written and produced by Suarez, has gone viral on Spotify, and rightfully so. The song is about the idea of how love can coexist in contemporary social media. Originally, he had titled the song “Text Me Back,” but by re-naming it, he is able to tackle the subject matter of affection and acceptance. This is a song that many listeners can easily relate to, due to its universal theme.

Most impressive about Suarez is that he is one of 12 children. He splits his time between making music and modeling. In the daytime, he devotes his time to photo-shoots, such as directing, modeling or make-up, and at night, he composes music, either on the piano or in his recording studio.

The Verdict

Overall, Joey Suarez delights on “Love Me Back” with his breathy vocals, which were custom-made for the electronic genre of music. This refreshing track garners an A rating.

“Love Me Back” is available on Spotify.
