Restaurant owner Joe Germanotta of Joanne Trattoria was recently spotlighted on “The Will Cain Show” on Fox News.

Germanotta, who is also global pop music star Lady Gaga’s father, owns Joanne Trattoria in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, which has now also become an entertainment hub.

In addition, Germanotta is a co-founder and partner of Second Wind Media, along with entrepreneur and GAB Inc. CEO Gabby Gabriel.

In this Fox News segment, Germanotta spoke about the potential impact of President Donald Trump’s tariffs on foreign countries and other economic policies.

Political analyst Will Cain and Germanotta spoke about the effect of inflation on restaurants.

Earlier this month, Will Cain noted that the inflation rate was “2.8 percent,” which was lower than expected. “I think it’s great. I don’t think it has gotten that heavy of a hit,” Germanotta said.

“I haven’t increased prices; we can absorb a little bit of it,” Germanotta noted.

“I think the tariff situation is reciprocal; you need to have a leveled-playing field, and once we have leveled playing field, which can be four months down the road, then maybe we can see a real boost in the economy,” Germanotta explained.

Germanotta acknowledged that business at his restaurant at the moment is “rock solid” and it is “growing a little bit.”

“In our restaurant, we’ve taken a stance rather than just serving food, people can enjoy both dinner and a show,” Germanotta said.

Germanotta is a firm believer that “no tips on taxes” is a win-win for workers, and rightfully so, especially since 75 percent of their income is the money they earn from tips.

“For my employees, it’s a win-win for them with no tax on tips,” Germanotta expressed. “With me, also having no tax on Social Security, I love it!”

“I’ve been in business for 15 years; we survived COVID, and we can survive this. That’s the way I look at it,” Germanotta reflected.

“The last year that Donald Trump was in office, was my best year ever… Ever in 15 years! The economy was booming. I am hoping for that again,” Germanotta concluded.
