Review: Jo Dee Messina amazing on new country song ‘Here’ (Includes first-hand account)

“Here” was co-written by Messina, as well as songwriters Mia Fieldes and Seth Mosley, the latter of which also served as the producer. Messina sings with such heart, power and soul. The poignant lyrics instantly lure the listener in, and many will be drenched in tears.

“Used to be lonely, a whisper that told me, there’s no way out, afraid, came in the quiet, and suddenly silence, felt so loud,” Messina sings, in the opening verse.

Messina showcases a great deal of inner strength on this tune, and she is able to touch many listeners and fans on an emotional level.

The Verdict

Overall, Jo Dee Messina’s new song “Here” is stunning from start to finish. “Here” is one of Messina’s most compelling vocal performances to date. It is an inspiration for all. It was very brave of her to write this during her battle with cancer, and many people (who have been in her shoes, or know people that are in her shoes) can relate to its message. “Here” garners an A rating.
