Review: Jessie Chris releases inspirational new country single ‘Rome’ (Includes first-hand account)

Earlier this year, Chris was named an “Artist to Watch” by Billboard.

In this song, she inspires her listeners to persevere and to never give us. In the lyrics, she reminds them that “Rome wasn’t built in a day, no gold doesn’t shine right away,” and rightfully so.

The songstress first sang this song at this year’s Gracie Awards, where she was a featured artist. “Rome” was co-penned by Chris, as well as Summer Overstreet, who is the daughter of veteran songwriter Paul Overstreet, as well as David Spencer (who also produced the song). Matt “McV” McVaney served as the song’s mixer.

“Rome” is available on iTunes.

The Verdict

Overall, “Rome” by Jessie Chris is filled with raw emotions, and it motivates the listener to reach for their dreams. It is a true anthem of empowerment. “Rome” garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
