Review: Jeff Timmons’ ‘Better Days’ single is as relevant as ever (Includes first-hand account)

While the song deals with a failing romance, Jeff Timmons handles its sensitive subject matter with much delicacy and sentimentalism. His voice is as smooth as silk, and the harmony vocals are spot-on (as one can expect from a founding member of the well-known pop vocal group 98 Degrees). He manages to maintain solid control over his soothing vocals throughout this tune.

“You’re everything that I wish I could be, and I can’t describe what your love means to me, your tender heart and compassion so sweet, something for the whole world to see,” Timmons sings, in the bridge, which has a neat echo effect to it.

Most impressive about “Better Days” is that many years after its original release, the song’s lyrics can have different meanings to different people. It has a liberating and optimistic message to it, thanks to its compelling lyrics.

“Better Days” is the second track featured on his Whisper That Way solo album.

The Verdict

Overall, Jeff Timmons‘ “Better Days” is the best medicine for anybody going through a difficult time in any relationship. It is proof that there is always light at the end of the tunnel, and it is filled with hope and joy. “Better Days” garners an A rating.
