Review: Janet Devlin soars on new music video for ‘Outernet Song’ (Includes first-hand account)

The song is witty, mellow and the music video is a great deal of fun, especially with all the different characters that the songstress portrays. “See these magazines with pretty girls rockin’ size 4 skinny jeans and on my television screens, there are endless beauty routines tellin’ me how to look and how I should be perceived,” Devlin sings, in the opening verse.

Many of her female listeners can relate to its lyrics and its message, especially those that have experienced peer pressure. Most impressive was the fact that Devlin wrote this song on ukulele at the age of 19.

“Outernet Song” is available on iTunes.

The Verdict

Overall, Janet Devlin soars on “Outernet Song.” Her bubbly personality is showcased throughout, and her immense talent is evident. It garners an A rating.
