Review: James Robert Webb delivers on new single ‘Makin’ Love Tonight’ (Includes first-hand account)

He showcases his rich, baritone vocals on “Makin’ Love Tonight,” and they are quite refreshing. An Oklahoma native, Webb grew up listening to such artists as Garth Brooks, Ronnie Dunn (of Brooks & Dunn) and Toby Keith, and one could hear those musical influences in his voice. From today’s modern country singers, Webb is a fan of such artists as Lee Brice and Cole Swindell.

As his official homepage indicated, Webb is in the process of filming a new music video for the song. He showcases a great deal of potential as a musician and vocalist.

The Verdict

Overall, James Robert Webb’s latest single “Makin’ Love Tonight” garners 4 out of 5 stars. He has a neo-traditionalist sound that will certainly please fans of traditional country music. Country listeners should expect more good things from Webb in the future.
