Review: James Maslow mesmerizes on Jason Derulo’s ‘Want to Want Me’ (Includes first-hand account)

Maslow begins the song accompanying himself on acoustic guitar, and allows his rich and smooth vocals to take over, especially as he displays his impressive falsetto. It is a soothing and dynamic vocal at the same time. He proves that he can do it all: act, sing and play the guitar, and he does all of these extremely well.

The Verdict

James Maslow proves that he is indeed the real deal in the music industry. He is such an underrated artist, and it is great that he fulfills fan requests on his YouTube channel, by covering hit songs by some of today’s most popular artists, and giving them his own twist. His cover of “Want to Want Me” would certainly make Jason Derulo proud. This is a song that Maslow could release on his own on iTunes, and it has the potential to top the iTunes charts. It garners an A rating.
