Review: Jake Owen back with soaring single ‘American Country Love Song’ (Includes first-hand account)

This is the lead single from Owen’s forthcoming fifth studio album American Love, which will be released on July 29 via RCA Nashville. It was co-written by songwriters Ross Copperman, Ashley Gorley and Jaren Johnston, the lead singer of The Cadillac Three.

“American Country Love Song” sits at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, for the week of July 23, and climbing.

“It’s playing in the night air, through the speakers all night long, couple kids just livin’ that American country love song,” Owen sings, in the chorus.
