Review: Jacob Young will blow you away with ‘Whiskey Kiss’ single (Includes first-hand account)

Young’s vocals on “Whiskey Kiss” are reminiscent of such country singers as Rodney Atkins meets Kip Moore. It has that retro ’90s country vibe, which makes it absolutely infectious; moreover, it has neat reverb on the chorus. Melodically, it is the male compliment of Martina McBride’s “Happy Girl.”

On June 10, Young will be appearing at the 2018 CMA Fest in Nashville, Tennessee, as Digital Journal reported.

“Whiskey Kiss” is available on iTunes. Thus far, all of his singles are impressive (“Fool For You” and “Better Than a Love Song“).

The Verdict

Overall, Jacob Young’s “Whiskey Kiss” is sheer bliss. It is a refreshing, upbeat love song, that will resonate well with his fans and music listeners. Jacob Young has been country music’s best kept secret of 2018, and that secret should be out. “Whiskey Kiss” garners an A rating.
