On Wednesday, September 8, Emmy award-winning actor Jacob Young spotlighted Eric Martsolf on his “Real Conversations with Jacob Young” podcast on mental health. Digital Journal has the recap.
Both actors delve really deep in this podcast episode, as they open up about their families, and they should be commended for their brevity, and for not being afraid to be open, raw, and vulnerable. Martsolf pays a heartfelt tribute to his parents, both of which he lost this year.
“It was a romantic tragedy,” Martsolf admitted about his parents’ love story. Following the loss of his mother this past February, Martsolf shared that nothing filled up his father more in his life than his mother, which is why he passed away four months later from a broken heart. “This is the kind of love we all search for,” Young acknowledged.
Young shared that Martsolf will be performing live on stage from October 15 to 24 in “Mamma Mia!” in Thousand Oaks, California, which is presented by 5-Star Theatricals. Martsolf revealed that there will be a “Mamma Mia!” after-party that is hosted by Star Image Entertainment.

One can hear both of their hearts in this podcast, and what made this intimate conversation work so well is that they are both fans of each other’s work as actors and as individuals.
