Episode four of Isuca, titled “Shadow Play,” is currently streaming on Crunchyroll for paid members. Free members can watch the same episode six days from now on February 20th.
It is apparent that Suseri is not going to accept “no” without a fight. I had a feeling that Suseri was going to transfer to Shinichiro and Sakuya’s school since they parted ways in the previous episode, which is a very common plot device used in many anime series.
This is even used in the currently airing anime series Absolute Duo, where Lilith wants Thor to be her partner. Lilith accepted the fact that Thor wants to remain in his Duo with Julie, but decided to stake her claim on him as her future husband.
Sakuya’s obviously not going to back down from a challenge. I am going to assume that Suseri may even stake her claim on Shinichiro as husband material.
I don’t feel safe around Suseri because her subordinates usually get killed when dealing with hostile specters.
The Shimazu Family better have an attractive employee package like paid sick days, paid vacations, higher wages, hazard pay, monthly clothing allowance, health insurance, dental insurance, travel pay, and every other important benefit. I wouldn’t want to risk my life for crap pay and little to no benefits in the long run.
Rhetorically asking, what about the people with families to take care of? Does the Shimazu Family have enough to pay in compensation?
I was surprised that specters are not the only threat in Isuca as this episode has shown.
This was an all right episode, but it fell into the cliché of being a typical revenge story. It is apparent that there are enemy mages that want to wipe out the Shimazu Family because of something that happened in the past.
It was a passable episode though I enjoyed the sexual fan service with Tamako.
