Review: Ingrid Michaelson releases witty music video for ‘Time Machine’ (Includes first-hand account)

The tune was co-written by Ingrid Michaelson, Busbee and Trent Dabbs. Its video was produced by SoulPancake Productions and directed by Jeff Wadlow. It is a track from her latest album Lights Out, which features its soaring lead single “Girls Chase Boys.”

The songstress is seen playing saxophone and piano in various scenes, and the video as a whole, will get her fans and viewers to laugh out loud. It features cameos from such comedians as Rainn Wilson, Matt Jones, Jorge Garcia, Rob Delaney, Steve Agee, Dave Koechner, among others.

“If I had a time machine, and if life was a movie scene, I’d rewind and I’d tell me run, We were never meant to be,” Michaelson sings.

The Verdict

Ingrid Michaelson’s new single “Time Machine” deserves 4 out of 5 stars. Her vocals are distinct and refreshing. Its saxophone solo is infectious and it deserves to be played on radio stations.
