On April 17, actress Inga Cadranel (“General Hospital”) was featured in Maurice Benard’s MB “State of Mind” podcast on mental health.
Cadranel is known for her portrayal of Harmony Miller on the hit ABC soap opera “General Hospital.”
In addition, Cadranel has had recurring roles in “Lost Girl,” “Orphan Black,” and “The Strain.”
Cadranel opens up to three-time Emmy winner Maurice Benard about growing up in Toronto, Canada, as well as her immigrant parents (an Icelandic mother and Spanish/Egyptian father), who were both artists.
They talk about her friend group on the co-op and her need to leave in order to spread her wings. They both share a little bit about their journeys, which include “anxiety issues” and caring about what other people think; moreover, they concur that people go through these things in their lives to only come out stronger on the other side.
These days, she acknowledged that she is a whole new person than when she first started out in the business. “I’m more calm, steady, I love going to work,” she admitted.
Benard reassured her that it is quite liberating when you stop caring about what other people think. “That was my problem my whole life,” Benard said.
