Broadway superstar Idina Menzel released her anthemic new dance single, the vivacious “Move.”

A Tony award-winning artist, Menzel collaborated with producers Chantry Johnson and Mitch Allan. It is a track featured on her forthcoming dance album “Drama Queen,” which will be released on August 18 via BMG.

“Move” has a catchy beat to it. The tune is about being your authentic self, as well as stepping out of the shadows, and not letting anybody else get in the way or stealing your moment to shine. Its lyrics are warm, relevant, and relatable.

The song is upbeat, midtempo, and a great deal of fun. It showcases a different side to Idina Menzel’s artistry.

On this lead single from her upcoming album, Menzel remarked in a press statement, “I am so thrilled that the first single, ‘Move’ is coming in time for Pride Month. It’s a celebration of love in all its forms.”

“The LGBTQIA+ community has always been so inspiring to me—watching friends and fans live so courageously, so authentically,” Menzel added.

Judging from “Move,” the new direction that Idina Menzel’s new music is going seems very bright and promising.

“Move” is available on digital service providers by clicking here. This refreshing single garners two thumbs up, and it proves once again that Idina Menzel truly is “wickedly talented” in everything she does musically.
