On July 31, actor Marc Anthony Samuel of “General Hospital” hosted a High Tea fan event in Glendale, California. This event was a part of the “General Hospital” Fan Club Weekend.

Marc Anthony Samuel has played the role of Nurse Felix DuBois on the hit ABC daytime drama “General Hospital” for well over 10 years. He feels fortunate to be able to do this fan event in-person for the first time following the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Hi, guys,” Samuel said. “Welcome to High Tea. Thank you so much for taking the time to hang out with me today. I really do appreciate it. I hope we can have some fun. I don’t sing, dance, or do any soliloquys, but I can answer your questions honestly and explicitly,” he elaborated.

In this intimate event, he began it with an ice breaker activity where each audience member said something about themselves, and they expressed what they are grateful for. Some of the fan stories were quite inspirational and poignant.

He paid a moving tribute to the late actresses Sonya Eddy and Jackie Zeman. He noted that Sonya’s tribute episode on the show was extremely well done and that she “deserved every bit of it.” He also remembered Jackie Zeman as a radiant actress, who was a big part of the Nurses Ball this year on the show.

In his daily routine, Samuel shared that he meditates, stretches, studies different languages, works out, and he enjoys walks around the lake and the neighborhood. “In the present, you will figure out the next steps to help enhance your life,” he said.

Samuel expressed that he is grateful for his friends, experiences, and abilities. He was not afraid to be raw, vulnerable, and to voice his truth and humility.

The actor also thanked Debbie Morris and Debby O’Connor for being the epitome of kindness, grace, and class, and for doing the “General Hospital” Fan Club Weekend for over four decades. “A theater doesn’t work without an audience,” he said.

He acknowledged that these events feel like a “General Hospital” family reunion for fans from all over the country and the globe; moreover, “soap operas have the ability to bring so many wonderful people together.” “The fans are the ones that keep the show going,” he said.

“The fans truly are the lifeblood of the show. Without a fan-base, you cannot have a show,” Samuel concluded.
